What is the AccentCareline?

The AccentCareline is a toll-free number staffed by an outside service to receive calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All AccentCareline reports will be forwarded to our Compliance Department within 24 hours of receipt. If you wish to remain anonymous, you will receive an ID number to be used so you can call back to report more details or receive a follow-up response.

What is my obligation to report compliance concerns?

It is very important that you report any known or suspected violation of law, regulation, policy, or business ethics outlined in our Code of Conduct. This is our expectation, and there will not be adverse consequences to you for doing so. We are committed to providing an environment where you feel comfortable discussing compliance concerns.

May I report using either the Internet or the telephone?

Yes. You may submit a report to the AccentCareline online or by telephone. Either way, your report will be forwarded to our Compliance Department within 24 hours of receipt; and if you wish to remain anonymous, you may do so.

Where do these reports go? Who can access them?

Reports are entered onto a secure server and made available only to individuals who are responsible for investigating the concerns raised, based on the nature of the issue/s and the location. Each of these individuals is expected to maintain the confidentiality of the reports to the extent possible and permitted by law.

What types of issues should I report?

Compliance issues may include matters related to:

  • Fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Billing and reimbursement
  • Documentation and coding
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Data privacy and security
  • Misuse of company assets
  • Workplace misconduct
  • Compliance with laws and regulations
  • Compliance with AccentCare standards of conduct, policies, and procedures

What if I remember something important after I submit my report? Or what if AccentCare has further questions for me concerning my report?

When you submit a report to the AccentCareline, you receive a unique user name and are asked to choose a password. You can return to the AccentCareline system again either by Internet or telephone and access the original report to add more detail or answer questions posed by a company representative.

Will I be protected from retaliation for making a report or cooperating in an investigation?

Yes. Retaliation against any person who reports a compliance concern in good faith or cooperates in the investigation of such reports will not be tolerated. Any instance of retaliation, whether via harassment or any other form of retribution, is a violation of the Code of Conduct and a basis for corrective action and discipline.
