Q: May I remain anonymous?

A: If desired, it is possible to report possible violations anonymously and to set up a secure postbox to enable anonymous communication between investigators and whistleblowers. Thyssenkrupp safeguards the interests of whistleblowers not only through this secure whistleblowing system, but also by providing assurances that all information received at TKNA will be treated in confidence, and that all means at our disposal Will be used to protect whistleblowers acting in good faith from any disadvantages as a result of their disclosures. During its investigations, thyssenkrupp will also strive to protect the legitimate interests of other persons affected by a disclosure. Casting suspicion on another person can have serious consequences for that person. It is essential that the whistleblowing system is used responsibly.

Q: Who administers the TKNA Ethics Hotline and is it available in multiple languages?

A: The TKNA Ethics Hotline is administered by an independent company (NAVEX Global), is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and can accommodate reports in English, Spanish, and French. For conduct occurring outside the United States and Canada, reports can also be submitted 24 hours per day via toll-free whistleblower hotlines for more than 50 countries and in 34 languages, available here: https://www.thyssenkrupp.com/en/company/compliance/whistleblower-hotlines

Q: How do I raise questions or report concerns?

A: thyssenkrupp encourages all employees to speak up. Open communication is key. Employees must be able to talk about mistakes openly and above all in good time. For this reason, your primary point of contact should always be your supervisor. Non-employees should contact their business partner. Alternatively, you may contact your Human Resources department. If you have the feeling – for whatever reason – that you cannot address your matter with your supervisor, Human Resources department, or business partner, you may use the TKNA Ethics Hotline. thyssenkrupp values whistleblower reports. Bona fide reports help counteract violations at an early stage and limit the damage for our company, our employees, and our business partners. This system for reporting information is open to all thyssenkrupp employees, as well as third parties such as customers, suppliers, and others.

Q: What happens after I make contact?

A: Once you report an incident, raise a concern, or submit a question, you will receive a report key and password which can be used to follow up on the report. Depending upon the subject matter, an electronic summary of your report or inquiry is sent to the thyssenkrupp North America Compliance Investigations or Legal Departments for investigation or, for non-compliance/non-legal issues, to a Case Manager at the Regional Headquarters for North America for review and to determine further action. You may be contacted if necessary (through an anonymous postbox if you have selected to report anonymously). We investigate all reports.
