Ethics & Compliance Helpline

Report a Concern Ask a Question Follow Up

Things to know about the Enviva Ethics & Compliance Helpline:

What is the Ethics & Compliance Helpline?

The Helpline is a confidential global compliance resource, available 24/7 to anyone who wants to ask questions, seek guidance, or report concerns about ethics, compliance, or our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. You can report your concern through our web portal or over the phone using the appropriate number for your country.

Who administers the Helpline?

The Helpline is administered by an independent third party (NAVEXz), is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can accommodate calls in a number of languages. All contacts are directly routed to Enviva’s Chief Compliance Officer. You can contact the Helpline anonymously where allowed by local law.

Who else can I speak to?

You have an array of resources to assist you should you have any concerns or questions. Generally, your supervisor or manager will be in the best position to help navigate an integrity issue. However, your direct supervisor is not your only option. In addition to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Ethics & Compliance Helpline, your Human Capital and Legal teams are also available to help.

What happens after I contact the Helpline?

Once you submit your concern online or via phone, you will receive a Report Key and Password which can be used to follow up on your submission. Then, an electronic summary is sent to Enviva’s Chief Compliance Officer for review and to determine further action. You are encouraged to follow up in the event additional information is needed. If you reported anonymously, the questions will be posted through this web portal for you to review and respond using your Report Key and Password. Provide as much specific detail as possible. You may or may not receive information on the results of the investigation, but you will receive confirmation that the issue has been addressed.

What is Enviva’s stance on retaliation?

Enviva strictly prohibits retaliation against employees for submitting complaints or cooperating with investigations. Anyone engaging in retaliation is subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment. If you believe you or others are the subject of retaliation for reporting suspected misconduct or cooperating with an investigation, you must report the matter to Enviva’s Chief Compliance Officer, Human Capital, or Legal Department.

Are reports to the Helpline secure and confidential?

Enviva uses NAVEX's EthicsPoint case management application to support the administration of the Helpline. EthicsPoint is hosted on NAVEX's secure servers and is not part of Enviva’s website or Intranet. Any report you make will be kept confidential to the fullest extent possible consistent with law and Enviva’s need to appropriately address the issue.
