Our goal is to ensure that you can communicate issues and concerns associated with unethical or illegal activities safely and honestly with The Hartford’s management or board of directors. We strive to make reporting issues and concerns as straightforward as possible, and allow you to remain anonymous if you so desire. The following web pages will guide you through the process. Follow these easy steps to submit your report:
After submitting your report, you'll be assigned a report key. Your password and report key allow you to follow-up on your report.
At The Hartford, every employee shares the responsibility to report unethical and inappropriate conduct, as required by the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. Employees owe it to themselves, their co-workers, our shareholders and partners to protect the company’s reputation by reporting any known or suspected violations of law, regulations or company policy.
You may report any concern you have about any kind of misconduct, including issues involving auditing, internal controls, accounting matters, theft, fraud, conflicts of interest or other suspected unethical or illegal conduct at The Hartford. It is always better to speak up about your concerns than to be silent about behavior that could put the company’s reputation at risk.
Company policy and applicable laws prohibit retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, reports a violation of any law, rule, regulation or provision of the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. The company will not tolerate any unlawful retaliation.
You may also use EthicsPoint reporting to bring your concerns to the attention of the Audit Committee or the non-management members of The Hartford’s Board of Directors, and/or to The Hartford’s Internal Audit department, for further investigation and review.
This web site does not replace the other methods stakeholders have traditionally used to communicate with us.
