Fort Valley State University recognizes that an ethical, efficient workplace is essential to successfully accomplishing our mission. We have always placed a high priority on making sure that our university community has the opportunity and a mechanism in place to share concerns if anyone feels that our standard code of conduct is violated.

Reporting misconduct to supervisors frequently produces the most thorough and timely resolution of a matter and is encouraged. However, other reporting avenues, such as the Campus Police, Human Resources, the Office of the Ombudsperson, University Research, and Auditing and Compliance Office are also available. To expand alternatives for reporting ethical issues, we have added hotline reporting provided by an independent company, NAVEX. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and allows you to anonymously voice all concerns. The service allows you to ask questions, receive feedback and email supportive documentation through attachments using a report number and PIN.

Fraud, misuse of university resources and abuse, as well as harassment of any kind must be reported.

Not only is the line open to report suspected fraud or abuse. We also solicit questions and comments about areas, which could be streamlined and made more efficient and effective.

Your input is necessary to maintain an efficient and effective workplace.

Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Jones,
President
