Ethics and Compliance Reporting Hotline

Welcome

Georgia Southwestern State University (GWS) is committed to fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. The purpose of the GWS Ethics & Compliance Reporting Hotline is to provide a confidential reporting process for suspected fraud, waste and abuse or other policy and ethics violations.

In Case of Emergency: If you believe there is an imminent safety risk to yourself (or others) please call 911 immediately.

Mental Health Support: For mental health support, we also provide a specific, separate support line for mental health services for students that provides 24/7/365 Clinical Support: 833-646-1526. USG students can access free counselling and on-demand wellness resources at https://app.uwill.com/login.

STEP 1: Are you an employee? (If not an employee, please go to STEP 2)

If an employee (student employees included), can you report your concerns to your immediate supervisor?

GWS employees are encouraged, when appropriate, to first raise workplace concerns with their immediate supervisor. We recognize, however, that this may not always be possible or appropriate given the circumstances. If you are unable to report your concern to your supervisor, please continue reviewing the options and next steps outlined below.

STEP 2: Review reporting processes based on your concerns.

Please review the options below for further guidance on how to report your concerns:

Concerns may be reported directly to GSW Human Resources, which can assist with employment-related issues and appropriate next steps.

If you have student conduct concerns, contact the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities or Report an Incident.

GSW is committed to providing a safe environment free from discrimination and harassment. The GSW Title IX Office protects individuals in the educational and work setting from discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, or other forms of sex discrimination. It ensures the process for addressing Title IX complaints is handled promptly and equitably, with fairness to everyone involved. If you have Title IX or sexual misconduct concerns, contact the Title IX Office by phone at (229) 931-1387, by email titleix@gsw.edu, in person at room 3429 in the Student Success Center, or anonymously online.

The GSW Office of Academic Affairs oversees the Grade Appeals Process. Other academic concerns should be directed to the GSW Office of Academic Affairs.

If there is an emergency requiring immediate action, call 911. Do not report emergencies using the USG ethics line. GSW Campus Safety can be contacted directly at GSW Public Safety or (229) 931-2245.

The privacy and protection of our students' and stakeholders' data is very important to GSW. Please review our full data privacy online policy statement and corresponding guidance at GSW Data Privacy or contact us at dataprivacy@gsw.edu.
