The University of Georgia supports and encourages an ethical, efficient, and effective work environment for all employees. In the event that you believe that such an environment has been compromised, please know that there are methods for reporting to the appropriate authority.
Reporting through the supervisory chain generally produces the most thorough and timely resolution of concerns and is the preferred method for addressing these issues. Concerns may be reported to the Equal Opportunity Office, the Office of Human Resources, the University Police Department, the Office of Legal Affairs, the Research Integrity Officer, or the Internal Audit Division, depending upon the circumstances of the issue.
The University recognizes, however, that some circumstances may require an alternative reporting method. As an additional platform for reporting, the University of Georgia utilizes the Compliance, Ethics and Reporting Hotline, hosted through an outside agency. The Hotline is available seven days a week/24 hours a day and provides the option for anonymous reporting. Reports can be made by phone or online. Please see the “Report by Phone” and “Report Online” options listed on this page. To facilitate a thorough investigation, please provide as much information about your concern as possible.
The Hotline is not intended to replace existing channels of communication and reporting systems on campus. Please report any significant issues or concerns through any of the aforementioned campus resources or the Hotline. You may also offer comments or suggestions about how the University might operate more effectively and efficiently.
Reports involving allegations of harassment and/or discrimination that fall under the University of Georgia Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy or the University System of Georgia’s Sexual Misconduct Policy should be reported directly to the Equal Opportunity Office at https://eoo.uga.edu/Forms/ndah-complaint-form/, 706-542-7912, or ugaeoo@uga.edu. Reports of child abuse or neglect should be reported in accordance with the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse Policy, which can be found at https://legal.uga.edu/child_abuse_reporting. Please do not use this form to report such allegations.
Our greatest resource is the talent, commitment, and dedication of UGA faculty and staff. I hope you will help us ensure that the University of Georgia continues to be a positive and productive workplace.
Sincerely,
Jere W. Morehead
President
