Brady Ethics - Report a Concern

What should I use Brady Ethics for?

If you know of or suspect a potential violation of our Code of Ethics, company policy, or the law, whether it involves an employee or a third party, you should report it immediately. The Brady Ethics hotline and website serves as an alternate venue for you to make a report, particularly if you are uncomfortable raising this with your supervisor or another manager.

You should report concerns of inappropriate business conduct, improper data management or incidents that compromise our company's culture and values. Some examples include:

Report your concerns with confidence

It is important that you can share their concerns knowing that you will not be intimidated or retaliated against. Brady has a strict non-retaliation policy (found on Page 3 of the Code of Ethics) and treats all concerns raised through the Brady Ethics hotline and website with utmost discretion.

Can I remain anonymous?

You have the opportunity to report anonymously, where permitted by law. However, the more information you provide, including your name, will help us in the investigation.

What happens when I report something?

The Brady Ethics hotline and website are managed by an external third party. When you report something that you believe isn’t right, the information is shared with Brady’s ethics committee, who will review the complaint and investigate the matter further, often working with Human Resources or others tied to the allegation. In some cases, the concerns that are raised will be determined to have been dealt with fairly using proper channels. In other cases, the investigation may lead to a variety of disciplinary or non-disciplinary outcomes. Due to confidentiality, these outcomes are generally not shared with you.

Our Non‐Retaliation Policy: Our Company supports us as we voice our questions and concerns. Therefore, Brady will never tolerate retaliation against anyone for reporting a possible violation in good faith or for participating in an investigation. Reporting in good faith means you provide a complete and honest report of your concern. It does not mean that your suspicion or concern is ultimately proven to be true, only that you honestly believe it may be true at the time you report it. Anyone who deliberately makes a false accusation will be subject to discipline. Retaliation in any form is in itself a serious violation of our Code. Acts of retaliation should be reported immediately and will be disciplined appropriately.
