If you know of or suspect a potential violation of our Code of Ethics, company policy, or the law, whether it involves an employee or a third party, you should report it immediately. The Brady Ethics hotline and website serves as an alternate venue for you to make a report, particularly if you are uncomfortable raising this with your supervisor or another manager.
You should report concerns of inappropriate business conduct, improper data management or incidents that compromise our company's culture and values. Some examples include:
- You or someone else has been subjected to unfair treatment, bullying, harassment, discrimination or a violation of policy/law;
- You have reason to believe that individuals within the company have engaged in inappropriate business transactions, such as bribery, or working with illegal entities;
- You have reason to believe that someone has falsely misled Brady investors or third party stakeholders, like inappropriate financial reporting, providing false financial information, or false marketing; or
- An individual has stolen assets from the company.
It is important that you can share their concerns knowing that you will not be intimidated or retaliated against. Brady has a strict non-retaliation policy (found on Page 3 of the Code of Ethics) and treats all concerns raised through the Brady Ethics hotline and website with utmost discretion.
You have the opportunity to report anonymously, where permitted by law. However, the more information you provide, including your name, will help us in the investigation.
The Brady Ethics hotline and website are managed by an external third party. When you report something that you believe isn’t right, the information is shared with Brady’s ethics committee, who will review the complaint and investigate the matter further, often working with Human Resources or others tied to the allegation. In some cases, the concerns that are raised will be determined to have been dealt with fairly using proper channels. In other cases, the investigation may lead to a variety of disciplinary or non-disciplinary outcomes. Due to confidentiality, these outcomes are generally not shared with you.
