What is Jefferson’s Alert Line?

Jefferson’s Alert Line is a secure and confidential way for you to ask questions and raise concerns about ethics, integrity, or behavior addressed in Jefferson’s Code of Conduct. You may choose to provide your name or remain anonymous.

Who administers Jefferson’s Alert Line?

Jefferson’s Alert Line is administered by an independent company (NAVEX), and it is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can contact Jefferson’s Alert Line anonymously if you choose.

Who else can I speak to?

All members of the Jefferson community may report concerns to their direct supervisor or higher-level manager, a Human Resources Business Partner or leader, the Office of Legal Affairs, or directly to a member of the Enterprise Corporate Compliance team.

What happens after I contact Jefferson’s Alert Line?

Once you submit a question or concern through the Alert Line, you will receive a report key and password which can be used to follow up on your submission. The Enterprise Corporate Compliance team receives a report of each Alert Line contact to ensure that all matters are addressed timely and effectively.

What about retaliation associated with use of the Alert Line?

Acts of retaliation do not align with Jefferson’s Code of Conduct. Jefferson’s Code of Conduct and related policies outline the importance of a safe, healthy, and productive workplace for employees and business partners. Every report, including those raising retaliation concerns, is taken seriously.

Are reports to Jefferson’s Alert Line secure and confidential?

Jefferson uses NAVEX's EthicsPoint case management application to support the administration of the Alert Line. EthicsPoint is hosted on NAVEX's secure servers and is not part of Jefferson’s website or Intranet. Any report you make will be kept confidential to the fullest extent possible consistent with law and good business practices.
