Introducing Sysco’s Ethics Hotline – Your Voice Matters
Dear Team,
At Sysco, integrity is at the heart of everything we do. Our reputation and continued success are built on the trust we earn from our customers, partners, and each other. A critical element in maintaining this trust and our culture of integrity is our Speak Up culture, and a key avenue for our colleagues to speak up is the Ethics Line.
The Ethics Hotline is a safe, confidential way for colleagues to report concerns about ethical conduct, compliance with company policies, or potential violations of the law. Whether it’s a matter related to workplace behavior, financial integrity, or any other ethical concern, this hotline is here to support you in doing what’s right.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Confidential and Anonymous: Reports can be made anonymously where legally permissible, and all concerns will be handled with discretion and sensitivity.
- Available 24/7: You can access the hotline any time, day or night, by phone or through a secure web portal.
- No Retaliation: We strictly prohibit retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
We all play a part in upholding our values. If you see something that doesn’t feel right, speak up—your voice makes a difference. I encourage you to use this resource with confidence, knowing that you will be heard and respected.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our shared standards and to maintaining a culture we can all be proud of.
Sincerely,
Kevin Hourican, President and CEO
Six Things to Know About the Ethics Line
-
What is the Ethics Line?
It is a confidential channel through which you can ask questions and raise concerns related to Sysco’s Code of Conduct, global policies, or any behavior that you suspect may not align to our values or that may be against the law.
-
Who administers the Ethics Line?
The Ethics Line is administered by an independent company (NAVEX), is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can accommodate calls in more than 75 languages. You can contact EthicsPoint anonymously by phone or through the web from most locations.
-
Who else can I speak to?
Sysco encourages speaking up to the channel you are most comfortable with. This may be your manager, a member of the Global Ethics & Compliance team, or someone in Sysco’s Legal or HR teams.
-
What happens after I contact the Ethics Line?
Once you submit a question or concern via phone or web, you will receive a report key and password which can be used to follow up on your submission. Then, an electronic summary is sent to a member of Sysco’s Compliance Team for review and to determine further action.
-
What is Sysco’s stance on retaliation?
Sysco is committed to protecting our people against retaliation. Retaliation is not allowed. Any employee who retaliates against someone for reporting a concern in good faith will be held responsible. "Good faith" means presenting all the information you have, with the belief that you are providing an honest, truthful, and complete report.
-
Are reports to the Ethics Line secure and confidential?
Sysco uses NAVEX's EthicsPoint case management application to support the administration of the Sysco’s Ethics Line. EthicsPoint is hosted on NAVEX's secure servers and is not part of Sysco’s website or Intranet. Any report you make will be kept confidential to the fullest extent possible consistent with law and good business practices.
