To File a Report

Colleagues, business partners and other interested third parties may make a report via:

  • Web-based reporting tool, by following the prompts listed on this page under "File a New Report."
  • Telephone, by dialing 1-866-294-3538 (for calls originating in the United States/Canada), or by dialing 0800-032-8483 (for calls originating in the United Kingdom). For all other callers, please provide your country of location under "File a New Report" and the appropriate telephone number will be displayed. A live operator is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

When allowed by local law, anonymous reports may be made. However, you are encouraged to disclose your identity as doing so allows IHS Markit to investigate the issue more thoroughly. To the fullest extent possible, the information that you provide will be treated confidentially.

After your report has been submitted, you will be assigned a unique code called a "report key." Write down your report key and password and keep them in a safe place. Your report will then be forwarded to the appropriate IHS Markit representative for review. After two (2) business days, use your report key and password to check your report for feedback or follow up questions.

Please be aware that the information you supply about yourself as well as about IHS Markit colleagues, vendors or other business partners may result in decisions that affect those individuals. IHS Markit therefore asks that you provide only information that, to the best of your knowledge, is accurate, and you believe to be true. Complaints made to the best of your knowledge and in good faith will not expose you to adverse consequences. IHS Markit does not tolerate retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, reports known or suspected unethical or illegal misconduct, seeks advice, raises a concern, or provides information.

Our Commitment

IHS Markit's commitment to conducting business with integrity and in compliance with the letter and spirit of the law guides our conduct towards our colleagues, business partners, shareholders and communities. All business decisions and actions must therefore be made according to the highest ethical and legal standards. To this extent, IHS Markit will not tolerate any unlawful or unethical behavior by any colleague, vendor or other business partner. This includes any decisions or actions in violation of applicable laws, company policies and procedures, as well as the standards set forth in our Business Code of Conduct ("Code").

In line with this commitment to integrity, IHS Markit has partnered with EthicsPoint to provide you with a secure mechanism by which you may confidentially report certain unlawful activities and violations of IHS Markit's policies and Code.

Reportable Issues

The types of issues that may be reported to our Code of Conduct Hotline vary by country because of country-specific laws. Whether using the web-based reporting tool or the telephone service, you will be asked your country location and the location where the issue being reported arose, as well as the subject matter of the report. You will be notified if you are able to submit the report via the Code of Conduct Hotline. In the event you are unable to submit your report via the Hotline, you are encouraged to report the issue to any of the following individuals:

  • Your local or regional Human Resources representative
  • The head of Internal Audit
  • The Chief Compliance Officer
  • The global head of Human Resources
  • The General Counsel
  • The CEO
