Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t know or can’t find my location?

If you are unsure of your City, Division, or Department, you may select the “Unsure/Wish Not to Disclose” option from the dropdown menu under the heading you are unsure about.

Am I required to provide Division, Department, or City information?

It is important to provide as much information as possible when making an initial report to help the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma’s Employee Relations Team assist with the issue. However, if you wish to remain anonymous during the initial process, you may do so by selecting the “Unsure/Wish Not to Disclose” option from the dropdown menu under the heading you wish to keep anonymous. Keep in mind, providing as much information as possible to the Employee Relations Team prevents delay in assisting with solutions to problems or issues.

What happens after I contact the helpline?

Once you submit a question or concern via phone or web, you will receive a report key and password which can be used to follow up on your submission. Then, an electronic summary is sent to a Case Manager with Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma’s Employee Relations Team for review and to determine further action.

What is Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma's stance on retaliation?

Retaliation is defined as overt or covert acts of reprisal, interference, restraint, penalty, discrimination, intimidation or harassment against an individual or group exercising rights under this policy. Any act of retaliation against an associate who reports, participates in an investigation of harassment or is otherwise involved in such an inquiry is strictly forbidden. An associate found to have retaliated against another person will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

Are reports to the helpline secure and confidential?

Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma uses NAVEX Global's EthicsPoint case management application to support the administration of the helpline. EthicsPoint is hosted on NAVEX Global's secure servers and is not part of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma’s website or Intranet. It is the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma’s Employee Relations Team’s mission and obligation to protect the anonymity of associates who inquire or provide information through NAVEX Global’s EthicsPoint

Should I use Open Door Communications or the Helpline first?

Open door communication is encouraged, and is the best option for discussing concerns of an ethical nature. If, however, you have tried this option and don’t feel the situation is resolved, or you believe open door might be inappropriate in this case, you can report a concern by using the “Report a Concern” link at the top of this page, or by calling 866-TELL-CNO.
