Frequently Asked Questions

What is EthicsPoint?

EthicsPoint is a comprehensive and confidential communications tool to assist management and employees to work together to address fraud, abuse, and other misconduct in the workplace, all while cultivating a positive work environment.

Can I raise a concern or ask a question from home and still remain anonymous?

Information submitted from home, a neighbor’s computer, or any Internet portal will remain secure and anonymous. An Internet portal never identifies a visitor by screen name and the EthicsPoint system strips away Internet addresses so that anonymity is maintained. Plus, EthicsPoint is contractually committed not to pursue the identity of an individual who submits information to EthicsPoint.

Where does the information I provide go? Who has access?

Information is entered directly on the EthicsPoint secure server to prevent any possible breach in security. EthicsPoint makes the information you provide available only to specific individuals within the company who are charged with reviewing the information you’ve provided, based on the subject matter of your concern or question and your location or the location of your concern.

How do I follow-up on a report?

When you raise a concern at the EthicsPoint Web site or through the EthicsPoint Call Center, you receive a unique user name and are asked to choose a password. You can return to the EthicsPoint system again either by Internet or telephone to access your original report. You may then add additional detail or answer follow-up questions posted for you. If you remain anonymous, it is extremely important to follow-up as additional information may be necessary to effectively address your concern.

It is the responsibility of all McKesson employees to raise concerns about conduct believed to be unethical or a violation of policy, regulation, or law. McKesson policy prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who act in good faith to report any suspected improper, unethical, or illegal conduct.
